Sabre is written in standard Fortran 90, and conversion to a new machine should be a relatively straightforward matter. The installation of the software involves:

• Examining and editing a number of installation dependent subroutines and functions. This step is simplified for installations on machine ranges for which a conversion has been carried out.
• Compiling and linking of the new source code.
• Testing Sabre with the test examples provided.

sabreR consists of a library of functions for the R package plus the compiled Sabre executable file in the case of the Windows download.

R is a free statistical programming environment which may be downloaded from the R Project Website
