CONVERGENCE

Sabre manual

Syntax: CONVERGENCE number
where number is a positive real number.

Purpose:
The CONVERGENCE command sets the convergence criterion for subsequent model fitting using the FIT or LFIT command. If the difference in log-likelihood between subsequent iterations is less than number, then a convergence indicator is set.

For the LFIT command, no further checks are performed and control returns to the user.

For the FIT command, SABRE carries out a further iteration to ensure that a true maximum has been reached.

The default convergence criterion is 1.0e-4. The current setting of the CONVERGENCE parameter may be obtained by issuing the DISPLAY SETTINGS command.
